NATALIA KOSSOBOKOVA'S CAREER SUMMARY

I am currently a Marketing and Communications Director at SES, which is the largest satellite communications company in the world. I am responsible for all marketing operations out of their U.S. Government business unit.

I pioneered many firsts for my business unit, including launching their social media channels, blog and philanthropic campaigns. I have over seven years of experience in managing marketing and press campaigns, as well as running large-scale exhibition events.

I’m known as someone that doesn’t have the word “Can’t” in their vocabulary. I always get the job done, even with limited resources or unforeseen obstacles.

My mission is to continuously grow as a marketing professional and to provide the optimal customer experience for your target audience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR / SES GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS

MAY 2015-PRESENT •  RESTON, VA

In my role as a Director of Marketing & Communications, I develop the annual marketing strategy, budget and marketing implementation plan. I manage one full-time Marketing Specialist and freelance blogger, as well as marketing/production agency relationships. On a weekly basis, I implement digital marketing campaigns in coordination with the business development, sales, cross-regional teams as well as industry partners.

This year, I served as project manager for a brand refresh consisting of website, tradeshow booths and collateral redesign with a total cost of over $200,000.

With the help of my Marketing Specialist, I manage over 50 conferences per year. This includes prepping key messaging, booth design and logistics for large-scale conferences, complex technology demonstrations, roundtable discussions and other types of VIP events.

Last year, I wrote half a dozen press kits and globally distributed press releases which contributed to over ten news stories in 2016. My goal is to continuously elevate brand awareness in the market.

I was Project Manager for multiple corporate videos in 2015 and 2017 which resulted in hundreds of views on Youtube. My most recent video project took place in the third quarter of this year and had a budget of $80,000. I was in charge of scriptwriting, location scouting, costume design and set design.

MARKETING SPECIALIST / SES GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS

MARCH 2010 - MAY 2015 •  RESTON, VA

When I started out as a Marketing Specialist in 2010, I designed marketing material for rebrand campaigns in both 2010 and 2011. This herculean effort included redesigning collateral, stationery, booth displays and advertisements with very strict deadlines.

I also worked alongside Sales and Business Development to create multiple customer presentations, white papers, social media infographics and proposal graphics which contributed to record new business each year.

In an effort to improve the return on investment for my company, I also implemented a process to enhance our marketing success metrics by creating a six-month analysis report. As a result, my team was able to manage the marketing budget more effectively by removing ad placements that underperformed and boosting those that proved to be successful in the following year.

In 2013, I launched the company’s first social media channels and provided internal social media policy and engagement training for over 50 employees.

In 2015, just as I was transitioning to my new role as a Director, I launched our first corporate blog (www.govsatreport.com). Each weekly post provides our target audience with the top news from our industry. This includes interviews from customers, partners and our thought leaders. Each post provides additional resources and downloadable content to help customers during their decision-buying journey.

As the only internal communications team member, I helped set up international market intelligence webcasts, trained summer interns and produced a monthly internal newsletter.
